Our Story

Healing Co. began long before we opened our doors.

​When my mom passed away, I was ten years old. Losing her left a pain that quietly followed me for years.

 

I didn't know how to be with it, so I did what many of us do—I looked for ways to numb it, distract myself from it, and outrun it. But no matter what I tried, it was always there.

​

For a long time, I thought healing meant finding a way to make the pain disappear. It wasn't until years later that I realized healing wasn't about escaping pain—it was about changing my relationship to it. It was about understanding the stories, fears, and protective patterns that quietly shape the way we move through the world.​​

I stepped away from my career as a special education teacher in San Diego and spent four years traveling the world, studying healing traditions and apprenticing with teachers whose work deeply resonated with me. Each experience expanded my understanding of what healing could be.

What I discovered was this: healing isn't about fixing what's broken. It's about gently uncovering who we've always been beneath the conditioning, the protective patterns, and the experiences that taught us to disconnect from ourselves.

That understanding became the foundation of Healing Co.

When my daughter, Abbey, was born, I knew it was time to create a home for that work.

As I began working with clients, I realized the questions that had shaped my own life weren't unique to me. Beneath our different stories, many of us are asking the same things: Why do I keep repeating this pattern? Why do I feel disconnected? How do I become more fully myself? Healing Co. was founded in Ocean Beach in 2021 as a sanctuary where people could safely explore the deeper parts of themselves.. A place that goes beyond relaxation—a space where you can gently uncover the beliefs, experiences, and unconscious patterns that may still be influencing the way you live, love, parent, and move through the world.

Today, Healing Co. is home to Reiki, massage, Biofield Tuning, sound healing, workshops, trainings, and a growing community of practitioners who believe that healing is both deeply personal and profoundly collective. When we heal ourselves, we create a ripple effect that extends into our families, our relationships, and our communities.

Whether you're here for a session, a workshop, or simply curious about your own path, my hope is that you leave feeling a little more connected to yourself than when you arrived.
